Make a Gift
Why make a gift?
A gift to the Apostle Islands Area
Community Fund is truly an everlasting gift to the community. Community Foundations are a unique way to encourage local philanthropy. We bring together people who care with causes that matter...to enhance the quality of life in our region.
Where does my gift go?
A gift to the Apostle Islands Area Community Fund helps build our endowment, which will continue to give back to the Bayfield - Madeline Island - Red Cliff region forever. Earnings from the endowment
provide grants in the
region. Annual grant
recommendations are determined by the Apostle Islands Area Community Fund Advisory
Board. The Board consists of residents, business leaders, and community members
representing the broad interests of the community. Recommendations made by the
advisory board are approved by the Board of Trustees of the Duluth Superior
Area Community Foundation, which takes care of final distribution of funds.
Gifts to the Apostle Islands Area Community Fund support
projects in six areas: arts, environment, human rights, adult education, civic
projects, and community, youth and family services.
As an affiliate fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, the Apostle Islands Area Community Fund enjoys the advantage of pooling resources for investment and benefits from experienced staff and administrative support.
Donors can contribute to an existing fund within the Apostle Islands Area
