DSACF Scholarship Recipients Lend a Helping Hand at our Donor Garden Party
The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation offers over 50 scholarships to students from across the region.
Provides renewable scholarships to graduating seniors from Duluth public high schools to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth or the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Provides a scholarship to a graduating Duluth public high school senior boy on the track and/or cross country team who encourages others, demonstrates dedication and good citizenship, and promotes team unity.
Provides renewable scholarships to non-traditional students who are the primary care-giver of one or more children and who are entering their junior or senior year at the College of St. Scholastica, University of Minnesota Duluth or University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Provides renewable scholarships to arts or visual arts students who are graduates of Duluth or Superior high schools to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth or the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Provides one or more renewable scholarships per year to graduating seniors of St. Louis County for college or vocational training. Applicants must be of the Jewish or Roman Catholic faith.
Newly created in 2010, the Kathryn A. Bullyan Scholarship recognizes graduates of Hermantown High School for their involvement in their communities, the academic success and their volunteerism.
Provides financial assistance to people of color who graduate from Duluth public schools to begin or continue law enforcement training.
Provides assistance to students of the Duluth/Superior area in pursuing their goals of higher education. Winners are selected based on an essay or other creative submission demonstrating contribution to and/or understanding of race relations within our community.
Provides two scholarships per year to the children of members of one of the 16 unions affiliated with Duluth Building Trades Council to attend any accredited college or university. Preferences for those who will study health care.
Provides renewable scholarships to graduating seniors who once attended Duluth Central High School for post-secondary education at WITC, UMD, UWS, St. Scholastica or Lake Superior College.
Provides scholarships to senior athletes of Duluth public high schools who reside in the geographic area traditionally served by Central High School, for schooling at accredited 2 & 4 year colleges and universities.
Provides a one-time award for students pursuing a degree in History that are from St. Louis County.
Provides one scholarship per year to a female undergraduate student attending the University of Minnesota Duluth and participating in intercollegiate athletics.
Provides one scholarship per year to the children of Ulland Brothers employees for post-secondary education.
Provides financial assistance for post-secondary education to graduating seniors of Denfeld High School who demonstrate good character and athletic and academic accomplishments.
Provides a two-year renewable scholarship to a graduating female senior from Denfeld High School or the Marshall School who exemplifies the characteristics and life of Patricia Gustafson.
Provides renewable scholarships to graduating seniors who are residents of St. Louis, Lake or Cook County to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Provides a renewable scholarship to graduating senior of Duluth East High School who have been involved in pole vaulting and/or musical activities, to attend any accredited college or university.
Honors the tenets and beliefs of Greg Irons by recognizing and rewarding the efforts of students in Duluth Public Schools and teachers who help students succeed.
Provides one-time awards to graduating seniors of Hermantown High School for post-secondary education at an accredited institution.
Provides a one-time award for a Duluth East High School senior (who attended Congdon Park, Homecroft or Lowell elementary schools) for college or technical school.
Provides scholarships for second-year students attending the University of Minnesota Duluth Medical School.
Provides financial assistance for deserving and needy students who could not otherwise afford to attend Marshall School, a private college preparatory school.
The Emile H. Mathis II Scholarship Fund was created in 2012 to recognize the life and career or University of Wisconsin-Superior alum Emile Mathis and to support the education of another generation of artists from that same institution.
The Ronald Joseph Mathis Scholarship Fund was created to recognize the life of Ronald Joseph Mathis. Ronald Mathis was the father of Emile Mathis, a UWS alumn and prosperous art collector. This scholarship is dedicated to support the education of another generation of artists from UWS.
Provides one-time awards for graduating high school seniors from the Minnesota Power service area. Awards are granted on the basis of outstanding community service.
Provides a one-time award to college students entering the last half of their college career (either 2 year or 4 years programs) who study at a local institution and major in a field expected to be in high demand in the future of north and central Minnesota.
Provides financial assistance for education and internships to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing a career in the mining industry of northern Minnesota.
Provides scholarships to parents, non-traditional students completing the last half of their academic program at St. Scholastica, UMD or Lake Superior College.
Provides financial assistance for late bloomers of Duluth Public High Schools - graduates who have the potential to successfully complete post secondary work. May be renewed for three additional years.
Provides scholarships to business/accounting students who are graduates of Duluth and Superior high schools to attend UMD or UWS. May be renewed for three additional years.
Provides renewable scholarships for post-secondary education, including community colleges and four-year colleges and universities, with priority consideration give to Jewish students.
An unrestricted scholarship fund which provides an outlet for past and present Community Foundation scholarship recipients to contribute back to their communities and help build an endowment which future scholars of the Duluth Superior area will be able to draw on.
Provides renewable scholarships to graduating senior of Duluth Public Schools who intend to pursue a career in education, to assist with the costs of postsecondary education.
Provides assistance to members and member candidates of the Duluth/Superior Alpine Club for team fees associated with pursuing a competitive skiing experience. Deadline in September each year.
Annually provides a one-time scholarship to a graduate of the Marshall School who will be attending an accredited college or university as a full time student.
Provides financial support to graduates of Cook County High School who wish to pursue an education in Liberal Arts. May be used for full time enrollment at any accredited four year college or university.
Provides financial assistance to a Duluth public or private high school student who has demonstrated peacemaking as defined by Martin Luther King.
Rewards excellence in academics to students from public high schools in Duluth, Hermantown, and Proctor who are pursuing a career in engineering.
Provides renewable scholarships to graduating seniors from public and private high schools in Duluth or Two Harbors to attend any accredited degree granting college or university.
Awards scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors from high schools within the DSACF service are who will pursue a Computer Science degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Provides renewable scholarships for students with potential from Duluth's public high schools. May be used for post-secondary education, including four-year colleges and universities.
Provides renewable scholarships to graduating seniors from Hermantown High School for post-secondary education at vocational school, college or university.
Assists small business entrepreneurs throughout the Community Foundation's service area with tuition for small business management courses offered at local educational institutions. Deadline is one month before a class starts.
Provides a 4 year renewable scholarship to recognize the academic accomplishments of Protestant graduates of Duluth Public high schools who will attend college in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, or Illinois.
Provides several renewable scholarships per year to University of Wisconsin-Superior juniors or seniors who are majoring in education. Applicants must be graduates of Superior Senior High School.
Provides a scholarship to a graduate (or descendant of a graduate) of Superior East High School. Contact Superior Senior High School for an application.
Provides financial assistance to students from Lake Superior School District (Two Harbors & Silver Bay) who are pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.
Provides financial assistance for high school senior females graduating from public high schools on Lake Superior's North Shore. Established by Charlotte's family and friends to celebrate her 100th birthday. May be renewed for three additional years.
Provides a renewable scholarship to the children of Ulland Brothers Inc. employees. Recipients are encouraged to investigate a career in the construction industry.
Provides scholarships to graduating seniors from Duluth high schools to attend any fully accredited, four-year, degree granting college or university. May be renewed for three additional years.
