Minnesota Power New Generation Scholarship - Provides financial assistance to college students in their last half of their degree (2nd year for Associate degrees and 3rd and 4th year for Bachelor's degrees) at a local school and who are majoring in specific fields deemed useful to careers in northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Minnesota Section, Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Scholarship - Provides funds for scholarships and internships for the undergraduate study of engineering with an emphasis on those individuals who express an interest in working in the mining industry in Minnesota.
